If you feel like adding it, I think the 1st gen RX-7 was the SA22C, not the FB like some folks say.

For the series 1 the codes are either KS13 QS13 or JS13,depending on trim level.

I've added some S12 stuff...trying to find more

and Keiichi, if you could elaborate on those trim levels that would be great.

the S12 actually ran until '88

I believe the Series 1's are the SA22C and the Series 2 and 3's are the FB3S. There was a discussion on this a loooooong time ago on the rx7club.com, and I've been trying to find it all morning for proof, but to no avail. Anyhow, the general concencis was what I said in the begining. However, some people said that it was mear personal prefference on when you switch from SA to FB, but there we're definitly both.

So would my car be a D27 since the Talon is the sister car to the Mitsu Eclipse and the Plymoth Laser?

I just want to correct that the 1998-2001 (2dr) Impreza is actually a 6M8 (turbo) and GM6 (non-turbo/2.5rs). Its the 4dr turbo impreza that is a GC8, and the 4dr non-turbo/2.5rs is a GC6.
