XD And this time it was some random guy who would only say that his name was "Suzuki," which rounds it down to... a couple thousand people. And then this old guy with a cigarette came in, and he was good friends with the known thief Suzuki... and when he saw the engine, he immediately bought it. And that is how Bunta got the new engine. *nods* ... XD |

About 130'ish hp in a 2300 pound car, thats on a full tank of gas with a full spare tire (no donut). 86s also have a pretty close geared transmission stock. I know someone who ran like a mid 16 in his 86 which is bone stock beyond a apc intake filter on an open dif (unless a a/f ratio gauge counts, hah).. maybe theyre a little faster then i thought- ive never actually ran mine through the 1/4 mile. But yaaaa, were spamming. Bunta got the engine from a hook-up more then likely. At the time it -should- have happened, it wouldnt be like you could just go find one of these engines on the internet which barely existed at the time. Youd have to have close racing connections. |

Yeah he went around in a dump and found a dirty old engine cleaned it and said it was good... Actually i think he got it from Keichi also, duno if everyone knows this and i might be being a noooob right now but it has his name on the oppening credits... i think the second one of fourth stage, just rebooted my comp and i dont have any eps cause live-evil is being weird, but i remember seeing it on an amv that somone made called economics of street racing or somthing.... yeah it says Supervision Keiichi Tsuchiya Hot Version Editorial Dept. Also a majority of cars sound-effects are him. Ie his tires squealing as he goes through a corner, sound of his engine as he flies by, etc and etc. |

When toyota atlantic was running, they were gettin help from various companies, 1 being tedscomponents.com. They sell cams gears and camshafts with the atlantic specs, because they helped build the motor. However, getting a motor like this is not very economical to a normal racer because eventually, the overpowered platform blows. I mean the engine will go wil a couple months of daily driving. Keep in mind, race cars are not driven often... |

A couple months of daily driving? Probably less. they rebuild the engines probably after every race in the toyta atlantic series. Some people talk crap about this engine but 240HP out of a 1.6 is far from weak IMO. Sure it's no monster number but it's still alot of power for that size engine. To buy a FA motor it's $14,500 If you wanna see the Real thing check this out. Formula Atlantic motor in AE86 "car makes 240HP, a 400HP turbo version is currently being designed."
