Did someone say Big O?

・・ 5 year old thread FALCON bump !! ★

I knew there had to be a reason you were re-reading this thread a couple of months ago ..

We still don't have a live action Big O flick ~ but this is probably the closest we'll get to Muv Luv Alternative suits in Hollywood shifty2.gif

Going to watch it because there's a new team behind it. Maybe this time they won't bungle it like PR1 did. laugh2.gif

I'm kinda in that same boat, actually. The first one, while I did, and still do like the concept, it was overall just kinda forgettable in the long run.

Half a decade and I still haven't seen this movie. Was it as much of an Eva ripoff as I'd heard back when it came out?

Not...really? I mean there were hints of Evangelion, sure, don't get me wrong. But it was its own film.

the kaiju did have a hint of EVA to them and the robot battles too but overall it was a clear difference from the EVA series. i liked the movie though some things were over-hyped and dramatized to an extent but it didnt scream out as a bad movie. if you want to see a rip off, the go watch the movie "atlantic rim" that was the cheap version they made for tv and that was pretty bad.
