http://variety.com/2015/tv/news/nickelodeo...old-1201583856/

This popped up a month ago and I kind of figured this would happen...well, for one particular reason. There's been buzz about Hey Arnold! potentially getting the movie that was going to conclude it since last year and just recently there's been a bunch of hints dropped including Craig Bartlett being at Nick. (For those who don't know, "The Jungle Movie" was a planned second film that was supposed to be made after the episode "The Journal" which was one of 2 episodes done on a skeleton crew at the end of season 5 of HA! and would have had Arnold finding his parents in San Lorenzo where they were last seen as well as a sort of cap on his relationship with Helga. It got as far as a test animation and storyboards before Nick canned it due to the movie we got about Arnold saving the neighborhood doing poorly at the box office)

I'm not sure about those other shows though. Does anyone seriously want Rugrats back? And Ren & Stimpy being brought back is never happening because of John K being, well, John K...

I did notice the 90's are all that has more time now being 19:00 - 3:00 from 21:00 - 0:00. Why stop at rugrats? Bring in all grown up and my life as a teenage robot in the block as well. They finally showed as told by ginger its been long overdue. Why don't they also bring back the all grown up version of arnold series they planned on as well?

Yeah, the block is now "The Splat" and has expanded. That grown up HA series, "The Patakis", would be cool to see too since, well, Helga's basically the best part of that show and something focusing on her was a perfect idea, but it got turned down because it was too "dark" for Nick at Nite and too much like Daria for MTV.

Wouldn't mind a dedicated channel to pre-2001 Nick shows. Grew up on the classic nicktoons like Doug, Rocko's Modern Life, Ahh, Real Monsters! and also enjoyed live shows like Salute Your Shorts, Space Cases, etc. Yes, it's all for nostalgia and that I don't mind abit more of.

That grown up HA series, "The Patakis" ...

I initially read that as "The Pakis" and wondered how they got away with that.

Also consider the fact that a lot of those old shows do not hold up anymore. Ren and Stimpy for the most part wasn't very good. It was just different from everything else on Nick at the time. Just make a channel that only plays "classic" shows, good or bad. Don't retool them.

Why would Nickelodeon do that? They're trying to appease the Youtube and anime kids aren't they?

ex) Legend of Korra, Game Snatchers(?)

I think the fan bases end up ruining the good ones. Steven Universe is entirely destroyed by a whining, easily offended and demanding fan base. Don't get me started on Avatar/Korra.

I'd be super happy to watch Hey Dude again, warts and all. That and Kablam.

Probably because I discovered Steven Universe late but how is the fanbase destroying it? I've actually really enjoyed the newest episodes. I can see what your saying regarding Avatar/Korra, especially in the later seasons of those.

The Tumblr fanbase of Steven Universe (it's the community I'm used to anyway) is very demanding. To the point where its actually changed things. Or so they say.

Any community on Tumblr shows the bad side of the communities like Steven Universe, Homestuck, MLP .... the list goes on.

How did they change the shows direction exactly? I do understand about them over demanding for more avatar/korra episodes (seriously having 3-4 seasons of kyoshi's times isn't neccessary), they don't need to cover everything.

Hey Arnold, Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, The Angry Beavers, CatDog, Rocko's Modern Life, The Wild Thornberrys, The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius

I loved all of them so much and they were 1000x times better than all new cartoons combined
