I have some news everyone, I might be getting my own copy of the game soon, my freind from Sweden has generously offered up his own copy of the game to me, so I'll be able to get screenshots as soon as I get it. As well, he was even MORE generous last night when he sent me the entire Racing Lagoon OST happy.gif

http://www.hardcoregaming.com/hgpreviews/s...goon/lagoon.htm

screen shots and info on the game

supposedly a racing RPG and like FF7 in a sense that you will move around on a world map (aka City) until you find other races, who you would race and eventually use experience or...money or something to upgrade you car

That would be the Diablo FC. And MY version has the last 2 scenes in a deep haze of blue- which is in the race with the FC-total handicap

yeah, that was originally a blue shade as well, I just brightened it so I could use it as a sig on a forum. But yes...that car basicly destroys whatever car you currently drive. And then of course...later in the game, the Diablo Tuned 300ZX's come into play. My freind beat the race against the Diablo tuned cars while driving a Wagon R with 0.6kg/ps and about 600-700PS

wow, everyone really does beat the game with a different car, I finished it off in an 850ps FC3S RX-7, that was on my very first playtrhough when I still had it for PSX.

at the moment I'm driving a Toyota Levin, 4WD, 915.1ps, 0.9kg/ps

I don't know if there are any RL osts that could be downloaded, you could buy it in eBay. Just buy the game, you will hear all of it when you progress through the game.

BTW, anyone who could compare Initial D from Racing Lagoon for me?

Thought this thread dies in a heap!. Anyway....if you're referring to the PS1 Initial D game, its far different. physics-wise, RL is more controllable than ID and its much more customizable.

The Legend Never Dies
~Racing Lagoon ^^ (Actually this line is shown at the ending movie)

Is Hakone Area (3rd City in RL) and the tracks (Holy Road, Route 1, Turnpike) seems to have lots of similarites with ID...

and BTW, I found some racing lagoon vids in youtube, it's all in this link

Sorry to necro this thread, but I just started playing this and I love the game. I watched a playthrough on Nicovideo a while back and despite not being able to make head or tail of the story I liked it and had to play it. The only problem is I kind of find the steering a bit unresponsive sometimes, like I have to push HARD on the d-pad to steer. I used the analog stick but it feels a bit weird. I think it may just be my controller I use.

Sounds like your controller. I used the OG Dual Shock with no issues whatsoever. Barreling down a twisty Hakone road was no problem, especially since the car I had had a power-weight ratio of like 1.0 (Heavy-tuned RB26 and B- and C-diets 10-40).

I LOL'ed at the fact you can get 20V 4AG in the first chapter. It's better than struggling to win the B16A off the Civic in that chapter since it's one of those tricky "single-gear" cars that are fast off the line.

Hate how the 1JZ-GTE takes a LONG time to level up though.
